Job summary

The Dixon Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Production Maintenance Tech to learn and perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery. You will work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maximize uptime and safety.

We value hands-on problem solvers with a mechanical background and a willingness to learn gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and PLCs. Entry-level candidates welcome; veterans encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Entry-level maintenance or contracting experience is preferred.
• Willingness to learn about industrial components (gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics).
• Ability to learn about industrial electrical systems, motor controls, wiring diagrams, and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment through routine preventative maintenance checks.
• Identify mechanical issues and replace worn or broken parts as needed.
• Move, assemble, install, and dismantle machinery using hoists, lifts, and hand tools.
• Read schematic diagrams and blueprints to guide repairs.
• Strictly follow all safety requirements and site regulations.
