Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking applicants for an automotive manufacturing apprenticeship. You will be mentored by journeyman technicians, rotating through electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with formal coursework and hands-on rotations.

The program includes learning to troubleshoot PLCs, diagnose circuits, and perform preventive maintenance on CNC equipment, conveyors, and robotic cells while maintaining safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Enrolled in or eligible for a registered apprenticeship.
• Basic grasp of trades concepts and ability to read entry-level prints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance on CNC equipment, robotic welding cells, conveyors, presses and assembly systems.
• Support line restarts to reduce downtime and protect production schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues under supervision; replace wear components.
• Diagnose 120V/240V/480V circuits and use PLCs to pinpoint faults and edit simple logic.
• Align, install, and remove components; perform hydraulic/pneumatic maintenance; support rigging and millwright tasks.
• Log work in CMMS; follow safety procedures and participate in safety talks and training.
