• Experience with exterior commercial painting and surface preparation.
• Strong brush and roller application skills.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors.
• Comfortable working at heights when required.
• Must be clean shaven for respirator compliance.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Smartphone required for timesheets and work-related communication.
• Availability to work at least two weekends per month.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform painting work on commercial building exteriors.
• Prepare exterior surfaces before paint application.
• Scrape, sand, clean, and remove loose or deteriorated paint as required.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and appropriate painting equipment.
• Complete touch-ups and detailed painting.
• Mask and protect windows, doors, fixtures, landscaping, and adjacent surfaces.
• Identify areas requiring additional surface preparation.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials.
• Keep work areas organized and assist with jobsite cleanup.
• Follow project specifications and site safety requirements.
• Work safely from ladders, lifts, or scaffolding when required.

Pay: $22–$27 per hour

Position Overview

Martin Painting & Coating Co. is seeking an experienced Commercial Exterior Painter to perform painting work on commercial building exteriors. The ideal candidate has hands-on commercial painting experience, understands exterior surface preparation, and can deliver durable, professional finishes while following project specifications and safety procedures.

Previous commercial painting experience is required. This is not an entry-level, apprentice, or helper position.

• Perform painting work on commercial building exteriors.

• Prepare exterior surfaces before paint application.
