Responsibilities

• Reads work order, observes truck in operation, and determines malfunction.
• Offers solutions to meet customer specs and provides estimates when appropriate.
• Performs mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis of breakdown.
• Records repair description on work order with model, serial number, and hour meter readings.
• Obtains customer signatures and communicates repair needs or completed work.
• Examines guards, bolts, and safety devices and makes adjustments as needed.
• Lubricates moving parts and tests repaired trucks to verify conformance.
• Maintains professional image of self and vehicle, and interacts with customers.
• Tracks service needs with operations or service manager for routine maintenance.
• Returns paperwork daily and submits time cards by 9:00 a.m.
