Job summary

John F. Martin and Sons, LLC is seeking an Equipment and Facility Maintenance Technician to keep our meat processing facilities running safely and efficiently at our Newmanstown distribution center.

You will repair and maintain material-handling equipment including electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts, perform preventive maintenance, manage electrical systems, and support facility upkeep.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical repair experience in material handling equipment.
• Experience with Crown, Raymond, Hyster, or Yale preferred.
• Strong hydraulics and electrical system knowledge.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Commitment to safety and team support.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Manage battery watering, charger troubleshooting, and electrical replacements.
• Conduct general facility maintenance including lighting, dock plates, and carpentry.
• Ensure OSHA standards compliance and document services.
• Monitor inventory for wear parts to minimize downtime.
