John F. Martin and Sons is seeking an Equipment and Facility Maintenance Technician to keep our meat processing facilities running at peak performance at our Newmanstown, PA distribution center.

The role focuses on maintaining material-handling equipment and warehouse facilities to ensure safety and efficiency. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical repair of material handling equipment (Crown, Raymond, Hyster, or Yale preferred).
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, 24V/36V/48V electrical systems, and diagnostic software.
• Ability to pivot from equipment repair to facility-wide maintenance projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs on electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts.
• Manage battery watering programs, charger troubleshooting, and electrical component replacements.
• Handle general building repairs, including dock plate maintenance, racking inspections/repairs, lighting, and minor plumbing or carpentry tasks.
• Ensure all equipment meets OSHA standards and document services to maintain fleet records.
• Monitor inventory for wear-and-tear parts to minimize downtime.
