Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Industrial Environmental team in the Kansas City area. The role applies civil/environmental engineering principles to diverse assignments, supervising engineers or technicians and developing innovative, compliant solutions for clients.

You will manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet client expectations. A PE license and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• 8+ years of civil or environmental engineering experience with design focus.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Prepare planning and design documents in appropriate engineering discipline.
• Coordinate staff and supervise lower-level professionals as needed.
• Perform design calculations, cost estimates, and economic analyses of alternatives.
• Develop project scope, schedule, and initiation paperwork; manage budgets and progress reports.
• Coordinate projects with other Olsson teams and clients; maintain project records.
