Position Summary

The Industrial Engineering position focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g., personnel workflow/ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.).

An Industrial Engineering Co‑Op position applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education and must be able to explain facts, policies and practices related to the job area.

Responsibilities

Industrial Engineering co‑ops typically:

  • Work on problems of limited scope and contributes on projects or processes while receiving detailed instructions from higher level professionals

  • Establish methods of maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel

  • Conduct cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods

  • Assist manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design

You will also get to:

  • Apply interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with fellow teammates and achieve common goals

  • Work in a hands‑on environment with cross functional teams

  • Utilize project management skills to develop, manage, and control scope, schedule and cost

We are looking for students who are:

Minimum Qualifications

  • To be pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or another applicable major and actively enrolled in an accredited university

  • Completed course work in Computer Aided Design (CAD)/AutoCAD
