Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineering co‑op in Nashville to optimize manufacturing systems, from personnel workflow to equipment layouts. You will work with cross‑functional teams and gain hands‑on experience on meaningful projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or applicable major.
• Sophomore–senior standing with GPA of at least 3.0.
• Completed coursework in CAD/AutoCAD.
• Available to work 40 hours weekly in a 6‑month minimum co‑op assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work on problems of limited scope and contribute on projects or processes while receiving detailed instructions from higher level professionals.
• Establish methods of maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
• Conduct cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
• Assist manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design.
• Apply interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teammates and work in a hands‑on environment with cross functional teams.
