Job summary

DHL Express is seeking a Gateway Industrial Engineer Manager to drive operational and workforce efficiencies across the U.S. Gateway operations.

The role will establish work measurement programs, analyze labor utilization, and develop standards while leading industrial engineering teams and contributing to budgets and forecasts. Ideal candidates possess a BS/BA in Engineering, 8+ years of related experience, Six Sigma Green Belt, and professional certification in some areas.

Qualifications

• Engineering experience in related field preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.
• Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop engineers within the area.
• Forecast facility, vehicle, staffing and/or material handling equipment needs to improve cost, utilization, service, and efficiencies.
• Establish work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize the utilization of product facilities, equipment, and personnel.
• Evaluate and redesign job responsibilities and workflow to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Translates corporate strategy into operational initiatives and drives implementation within the assigned area.
