Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT, is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join the Core Industrial Engineering team. You will lead enterprise-wide improvement initiatives, study product requirements, and develop methods to increase productivity and efficiency in manufacturing and assembly facilities.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience (Master's with 7+ years acceptable), U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 10+ years of prior relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Systems Engineering, or Operations improvement.
Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Management with minimum 7 years’ experience.
US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise-wide improvement initiatives across functions and sites.
Work cross-functionally to embed IE tools and lean processes in manufacturing or assembly facilities.
Study product requirements and determine capital equipment and labor staffing needs.
Conduct machine capacity analysis and identify improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OEE).
Conduct labor capacity analysis and identify improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OLE).
Develop methods to increase productivity, maximize efficiency and manage human capital.
Recommend capital investment strategy to meet product delivery and cost targets.
Evaluate the effects of schedule and product design changes.
Design layouts of equipment and workspace and improve process flow.
Participate in and lead Kaizen events.
