Responsibilities include redesigning tooling, improving layouts, and creating standardized work while analyzing quality and production flow. The program emphasizes mentorship, training, and meaningful hands-on experience during a 10-week summer term.

Qualifications

• Education: pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, manufacturing engineering or related field required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and drive to complete tasks and assignments.

Responsibilities

• Build plans, production tooling, and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
• Redesign tooling to improve operators’ work environments.
• Analyze layouts and production processes to improve facility layouts for product flow.
• Creating reference documents and standardized work for new or improved processes.
• Analyze quality concerns, make recommendations for improvement, and implement ideas.
