Job summary

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern for our Jumbo Mill in Blytheville, AR. You will support process improvements by analyzing production data, performing time studies, and identifying opportunities to reduce waste and optimize plant efficiency.

Report to the Assistant Plant Manager and gain practical exposure to tools and strategies used to measure, test, and improve manufacturing systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering field (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science or Systems).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Analyze yield data to identify trends and maximize profitability.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and finance to investigate root causes of yield loss.
• Perform time studies across production stages to develop KPIs.
• Prepare Excel documents to support data tracking and reporting.
• Propose and develop process improvement techniques to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Summarize findings and present actionable recommendations to site leadership.
