Grimco is seeking a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Intern to drive real-world process improvements in our manufacturing facility in Akron, OH. You will own Six Sigma projects from concept to completion and work hands-on to optimize production quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree with strong analytical skills and a passion for applying DOE, DMAIC, SPC, and AI-enabled automation in a busy sign-production environment.

Formación

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in applying Six Sigma methodologies in manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute DOE in manufacturing to optimize parameters.
• Perform Big Data analysis on production data streams.
• Combine AI with engineering tools to develop automation solutions.
• Lead DMAIC projects to reduce variation and waste.
• Conduct time studies and process mapping to identify improvements.
• Design and prototype automation for line efficiency.
• Apply SPC to monitor and optimize operations.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement Lean principles.
• Present data-driven findings to facility leadership.
