Global Power Components is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern to gain hands‑on experience supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives. This internship targets a student pursuing Industrial Engineering or a related degree who wants practical experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

The intern will work with engineering, production, quality, safety, materials, and other teams to improve processes and efficiency on the production floor.

Qualificações

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.
• Willing to spend significant time on the production floor.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excel proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with time studies, labor studies, line balancing, and process observations.
• Support analysis and improvement of layouts, workflows, material flow, and workstation ergonomics.
• Collect, organize, and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for improvement.
• Help create and update work instructions, SOPs, standard work, and manufacturing documentation.
• Support Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
• Assist with establishing and maintaining labor standards, routings, bills of material, and other manufacturing data.
• Work with production and materials teams to evaluate material-handling and replenishment processes.
• Support visual factory and workplace-organization initiatives.
• Assist engineers with manufacturing problem-solving related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Participate in cross-functional manufacturing and process-improvement projects.
• Help evaluate manufacturing methods, fixtures, equipment, and potential process improvements.
