Job summary

Oshkosh Defense is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Oshkosh, WI to review and restructure BOMs, develop line balance for new products, and produce assembly documentation for multiple plants. You will support design, tooling, and process improvements across production lines while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in engineering or operations roles.
  • Experience in heavy equipment or automotive industries is preferred.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma tools experience is desirable.
  • Proficient with Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Review and restructure design BOMs (B.O.M.) and grouping to support assembly.
  • Develop work instructions and preliminary line balance for new products.
  • Improve and maintain assembly documentation for multiple plants.
  • Support production by providing technical analysis and reporting.
  • Identify process improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Determine fixtures, layouts, manpower requirements, and pacing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers as needed.
