Overview

Industrial Engineer - Warehouse/Labor Management role at Longbow Advantage. What to expect

The Industrial Engineer will lead and manage the implementation of Warehouse Management/Labor Management systems for clients.

Responsibilities

• The IE will provide guidance, leadership, project management, and ensure overall design and workflows are delivered successfully.
• The IE will serve as a project lead and provide current state analysis of client's operational workflows as well as deliver future state design.
• The IE will serve as a key contributor in hands-on system configuration, integration testing, user acceptance testing, client training, and go-live support.
• The IE will be required to work across cross-functional teams both internal and client.

What you will do

• Conduct time and motion studies and work measurement tasks for development of engineered labor standards, cost-benefit analysis, and process re-engineering activities.
• Analyze results of various studies and assist in the creation of engineered labor standards.
• Development of project proposals, presentations, and new client activities as requested.
• Provide industrial engineering expertise to cross functional teams to deliver improved manufacturing facilities and processes.
• This role is REMOTE; preferred location is near a major airport.
• Travel: 50%

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s in Industrial & Systems Engineering
• Experience with Warehouse Management/Labor Management systems (JDA/Blue Yonder preferred)
• Experience and understanding of distribution center environment.
• MOST certification a big plus
• Experience with stat/data analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to advise/present in front of senior leadership and/or large group of floors employees
• Strong Excel-based background, regression analysis, and data-mining techniques
