Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, VA, onsite startup manufacturing large, heavy, complex equipment seeks an Industrial Engineering Technician II. You will assist with production layout and process improvements and maintain data in IE systems.

The role supports the startup team, builds out operations, and creates process flow and work instructions from ground up, with a Monday–Friday shift (6:00 AM–2:30 PM) and on-site work only.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools (e.g., work measurement, process mapping, facilities and workstation design).
• Eye for detail when updating systems.
• Basic analytical ability.
• Basic communication skills.
• Proficiency in PC use with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing an area for a line move or process change.
• Update the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB) as directed by the Industrial Engineer.
• Update or create production visuals as directed by the Industrial Engineer.
• Order, receive and validate tooling as directed by the Industrial Engineer.
• Insure standardization of Jabil processes across the site per direction.
• Support Lean initiatives by maintaining data integrity to enable process improvement.
• Follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• On-site at our Prince George, VA facility. **

This role is to support a new factory in Prince George, VA (onsite) startup manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The product will be large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. This position will be part of the core factory startup and onboarding team responsible for building the operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating the process flow/work instructions/etc. from the ground up. Skills to include: panel and point to point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High Power Electronic assemblies.

Mon - Fri (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

Job Summary

Industrial Engineering Technician II supports the Industrial Engineering team in planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining integrated production and service delivery systems that drive performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency within the manufacturing site. The primary focus of this role is assisting with production layout and process improvements, as well as maintaining and entering data in Industrial Engineering systems.

Responsibilities

• Update/Create production Visuals, as directed by the Industrial Engineer

• Support the Lean organization by maintaining a solid process foundation and data integrity in order to support process improvement through the organization

The hourly pay range for this role is $21.73 - $39.13. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
