Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Florida is seeking a qualified Industrial Engineer to analyze and design production workflows, optimize facility layouts, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

You will partner with Manufacturing and Facilities Engineering to support line design, capacity planning, and throughput optimization, while establishing metrics and ensuring security clearances are maintained.

Qualifications

  • Industrial Engineering experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience analyzing production data to identify issues and improve processes.
  • Experience with Lean, Value Stream Mapping or Process Mapping.
  • Experience with production planning and capacity analysis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Facilities Engineering on line design and layout.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics related to cost, schedule, and throughput.

Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:

  • Industrial Engineering experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience analyzing production data to identify issues and implement process improvements.
  • Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping)
  • Experience with production planning, capacity analysis, and throughput optimization.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Facilities Engineering to support production line design, layout, and workflow optimization.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics related to cost, schedule, and throughput.
  • Experience working cross-functionally within manufacturing or operations teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills

Nice-to-have skills that strengthen candidacy but are not required:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Industrial Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience planning, launching, and ramping up production lines or manufacturing programs.
  • Leadership experience, including developing teams, driving performance, and resolving conflicts.
  • Experience using production analytics and simulation tools (e.g., SAP, Apriso, Tableau, Simio).
  • Strong communication skills, including building and delivering presentations to Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple prorities and operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Active Secret security clearanceis highly preferred.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
