Job summary

Stord is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design and scale operational systems for network growth and new warehouse launches. You will lead cross-functional workstreams, develop standardized labor models and cost structures, and partner with Operations and Finance to ensure scalable, data-driven decisions.

The role focuses on reducing cost per unit, increasing productivity, and standardizing processes across sites, with mentoring responsibilities for junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial engineering, operations optimization, or warehouse design in distribution, manufacturing, or logistics.
• Experience building labor models, conducting time studies, and developing engineered labor standards.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations including network initiatives, warehouse launches, or operational integrations.
• Proficiency with Excel/Sheets for large data analysis and modeling.
• Strong cross-functional project leadership delivering measurable outcomes.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations (inbound, storage, picking, packing, shipping).

Responsibilities

• Design future-state layouts, labor models, and workflows for new sites and acquisitions.
• Lead industrial engineering workstreams from diligence to go-live.
• Drive network-wide initiatives to improve labor productivity and reduce cost per unit.
• Develop and maintain engineered labor standards using data and time studies.
• Collaborate with LMS, Operations, and Finance to align labor planning and cost models.
• Identify inefficiencies and design scalable solutions.
• Mentor Continuous Improvement Engineers to ensure consistent methods.
• Quantify network impact including cost savings and productivity gains.
