Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services seeks an Industrial Engineer to design and optimize generator manufacturing and assembly processes. You will collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Controls engineers to ensure designs support efficient manufacturing and scale production.

You will lead prototypes, pilot runs, and new product introductions, and drive capacity expansion, line balancing, and safer, higher-quality workflows across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IE, ME, Manufacturing, EE, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing process design and optimization.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing data and implementing process improvements.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing and assembly processes for generator systems and related products.
• Collaborate with Engineers to ensure designs support efficient manufacturing (DFM/DFA).
• Lead prototype builds, pilot production, and new product introductions for manufacturing readiness.
• Support capacity planning and workforce planning initiatives.
• Develop and optimize layouts, workflow, line balancing to maximize productivity.
• Identify tooling, fixtures, equipment, and automation opportunities to improve performance.
• Partner with internal teams and vendors to implement tooling and automation.
• Evaluate manufacturing investments through ROI analyses.
• Analyze production data to reduce bottlenecks and waste.
• Support DOE, SPC, Gage R&R, and process validation.
