Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, seeks an industrial engineer in Kansas to optimize production flow and line balancing for aerospace manufacturing. You will analyze operations, establish time standards, and drive efficiency in a unionized environment.

Required are an ABET-accredited engineering degree and 2+ years of related experience; mid- to senior-level candidates with 5–10+ years are welcome and familiarity with IE tools and MS Office is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with preference to Industrial Engineering
• 2+ years of related engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts
• Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel and optimization of product flow
• Develops and provides time standards to the shop floor and standard work for operations and processes
• Uses analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization and line balancing
