Job Summary Location : CVG200 Shift: Thursday-Saturday every other Wednesday 6am-6pm The Industrial Engineering NPI Trainer at Jabil Inc. is responsible for developing and delivering training programs related to New Product Introduction (NPI) processes within an industrial engineering context. This role ensures that manufacturing teams are proficient in the latest methodologies, tools, and best practices for efficient and effective NPI execution.
Design, develop, and update comprehensive training modules and materials for NPI processes, including process flow, line balancing, time studies, capacity planning, and lean manufacturing principles. Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for various stakeholders, including manufacturing engineers, production operators, supervisors, and other relevant personnel, both in classroom settings and on the production floor. Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and continuously improve training programs based on results and evolving business needs. Collaborate with Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Program Management teams to identify training gaps and develop targeted solutions for NPI excellence. Provide hands‑on coaching and support during NPI launches, ensuring adherence to established processes and assisting with problem‑solving. Stay current with industry best practices, new technologies, and Jabil's internal NPI methodologies to ensure training content remains relevant and cutting‑edge. Develop and maintain a robust training documentation system, including outlines, presentations, exercises, and evaluation forms. Act as a subject matter expert for NPI industrial engineering principles and provide guidance and support to teams as needed.
Proven experience in developing and delivering technical training programs to diverse audiences. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, time studies, process mapping, line balancing, and capacity planning. Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and experience with relevant industrial engineering software tools. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD, CPLP) is a plus.
