Job summary

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team in Berkeley, MO is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize products, processes, and services aligned with program requirements. You will develop plant layouts, capacity plans, and workflows while evaluating new technologies for integration into production and service operations.

You will design, maintain and optimize production systems, conduct workflow analyses, and provide data-driven insights to leaders for schedule performance, cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years work experience in manufacturing.
• 5+ years applying production engineering principles to manufacturing processes.
• 5+ years project management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience with capacity planning, manpower forecasting, line balancing, time and motion studies, process modeling and lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Applies industrial engineering concepts to meet program requirements.
• Develops plant layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and workflows.
• Evaluates new techniques for integration into production and service operations.
• Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system across design, supply base, facilities, equipment and personnel.
• Conducts workflow design and analysis.
• Develops models and analyses to provide metrics for leaders and customers.
• Implements plans for facility modifications and production change to meet goals.
