Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Canton, NY is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations on a full-time, onsite basis. You will partner with production, maintenance and senior engineers to improve flow, capacity, and utilization of labor and equipment, while applying industrial engineering fundamentals and data-driven observations.

The position offers a standard M–F schedule with limited travel and requires a BS in industrial engineering with 0–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

BS in industrial engineering or related field.
0–2 years in a technical/manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; clear communication of observations.
Ability to work in a union manufacturing environment.
Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a team.
U.S. citizen status documentation required for government contract.

Responsibilities

Support continuous improvement to boost throughput, productivity, and on-time delivery.
Conduct time studies to develop labor standards and standard work docs.
Analyze capacity, bottlenecks, and equipment utilization to identify constraints.
Evaluate plant layout and material flow to reduce travel and non-value-added work.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, planning, and engineering teams on daily operations.
