Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Industrial Engineer to champion early development of new product programs in a hybrid environment at Warren, MI. You will implement lean systems, standardize work, and coordinate across engineering, suppliers and in-plant teams from concept through production.

The role requires 2+ years of IE experience, proficiency with AutoCAD and Office, and a willingness to travel up to 50% in the US and abroad. Relocation benefits may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related Industrial Engineering experience.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% (Within USA, Canada, Mexico, and abroad).

Responsibilities

• Implement Lean Manufacturing Systems and Standardized Work to achieve line balance and KPI targets.
• Develop plans and countermeasures for Launch Timing Plans.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers, and in-plant IE team from concept to full production.
• Lead Plan For Every Part workshops to align multi-functional teams.
• Analyze system data to improve performance and participate in Throughput Improvement workshops.
• Support Pre-Production Builds and provide feedback on design enablers for manufacturability.
