Job summary

Spike Electric and Controls LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to enhance manufacturing performance across production, engineering, and supply chain. The role focuses on reducing waste, improving safety, quality and productivity, and leading projects from analysis to sustainment on the manufacturing floor.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams, develop standards and visual controls, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven methods and Lean principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Five to eight years of IE/Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing process-improvement projects from planning through implementation and results verification.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and structured root-cause problem solving.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and the ability to analyze operational data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and supporting processes to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, productivity, capacity, and throughput.
• Conduct time studies, work sampling, cycle-time analysis, workflow observations, and labor-content reviews.
• Develop current-state and future-state maps, value stream maps, and other representations of flow.
• Identify bottlenecks and waste using Lean principles and recommend countermeasures.
• Lead improvement projects from charter to sustainment and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Pilot changes, train operators, and document lessons learned for sustainment.
• Measure post-implementation results and establish controls to sustain improvements.
