Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking an Industrial / Manufacturing Engineer to design, build, and optimize floor layouts and production workflows for large-scale facilities over 200,000 sq ft. You will focus on end-to-end assembly for electrical skids and enclosures, transforming blank floor space into lean, high-throughput lines.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Quality, EHS, Sourcing and Electrical Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability and safe ramp-ups in early-stage production,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of industrial/manufacturing engineering experience (co-ops/internships counted).
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD for layout modeling and floor space optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize facility layouts, line balances and material staging for large-scale facilities (>200,000 sq ft).
• Map value streams and implement lean workflows to reduce waste and cycle times.
• Define logistics, crane/hoist needs, and kitting for heavy components.
• Specify tooling, fixtures, and ergonomic workstations for panel wiring and assembly.
• Develop SOPs, baseline cycle times, and line-balancing documentation with production teams.
• Collaborate with Quality, EHS, Sourcing, and Electrical Design Engineering for manufacturability and ramp-ups.
