Job summary

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern for the Killeen, TX facility to support process improvement projects on the plant floor. You’ll analyze production data, conduct time studies, and help reduce waste while collaborating with operations, quality, and finance teams.

The internship runs May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027 and is a paid, on-site opportunity reporting to the Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong analytical abilities.
• On-site work at the Killeen, TX facility; eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Analyze prime net yield data to identify trends and maximize production profitability.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and finance teams to investigate root causes of yield loss and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage Excel documents to support data tracking and reporting.
• Propose and develop process improvement techniques aimed at reducing waste and increasing efficiency.
• Conduct time studies across different production stages to support KPI development.
• Measure process outputs to determine equipment capacity and identify bottlenecks.
