Job summary

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks an Industrial Engineer Intern at our Killeen, TX facility. You will support data analysis on yields, waste reduction, and process improvements on the plant floor under the Plant Manager.

Expect real-world experience with IE tools, time studies, and KPI development. Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree, highly organized, and ready to collaborate with operations, quality, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong analytical abilities.
• Collaborative team player able to coordinate with multiple departments.
• Willingness to travel for the Internship Summit.

Responsibilities

• Analyze prime net yield data to identify trends and maximize production profitability.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and finance teams to investigate root causes of yield loss and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage Excel documents to support data tracking and reporting.
• Propose and develop process improvement techniques to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Conduct time studies across production stages to develop KPIs.
