Job summary

Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), managed by Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, seeks an Industrial Engineer II for routine to moderately complex engineering work on assigned projects. You will apply standard methods in time study, data analysis and process improvement to support manufacturing and inspection operations.

Qualifications include a B.S. in Engineering or Physics from an ABET-accredited program, 2+ years of relevant experience, U.S.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. requirement in Engineering or Physics.
• 2+ years of engineering, analytical, or related technical experience.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer work measurement in manufacturing and inspection.
• Assist in project management/continuous improvements under guidance.
• Analyze production/inspection operations to determine optimum methods and sequence.
• Prepare evaluation reports and recommend productivity improvements.
• Develop manufacturing layout proposals to optimize resources and facilities.
• Develop base cost data for product cost estimates.
• Estimate set-up, operating, and flow times for production needs.
• Support audits to monitor production levels and trends.
• Perform special studies and recommend preventive actions.
