Job summary

Terumo Medical Corporation in the United States seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design, analyze, and improve integrated manufacturing systems within a regulated medical device environment.

Under general supervision, you will lead moderate complex process improvement projects, apply data-driven engineering methods, and collaborate with Quality, R&D, and Operations to enhance safety, quality, capacity, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical devices/pharma/biotech) preferred.
• Certifications or formal training in continuous improvement, statistics, or project management preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and industrial engineering tools (AutoCAD, Minitab, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Analyze production workflows and apply Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and root-cause analysis to improve safety, quality, productivity, labor utilization, cycle time and cost.
• Provide engineering support to resolve process issues, optimize lines and equipment, monitor KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure quality and regulatory compliance by establishing controls and executing CAPAs with QA and operations.
• Plan capacity and facilities layouts to optimize workflow, space, and readiness for demand.
• Analyze data and report performance; use statistics to identify trends and recommendations.
• Lead moderately complex process-improvement projects, facility expansions, tech implementations, and new product introductions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, provide training, and sustain standardized practices across org.
• Follow EH&S and Quality System policies and environmental health and safety requirements.
