Qualifications

The role applies visual management principles to enhance manufacturing line performance, communication, and operational control. Responsibilities include developing and implementing operational improvements and facility modifications; supporting safety and training programs; and collaborating with facilities engineers on planning and design activities.This role supports manufacturing operations within a regulated production environment, focused on optimizing processes, improving operational efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The position partners with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to enhance productivity, material flow, and overall business performance through data-driven decision making and process optimization.This position is based in Juncos, Puerto Rico and follows onsite work arrangement.Primary ResponsibilitiesAnalyze manufacturing processes, workflows, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency and productivity improvements.Develop and implement process optimization initiatives that improve throughput, reduce waste, and support cost reduction objectives.Conduct capacity planning, labor utilization, and production performance studies to support operational decision making.Evaluate and improve facility layouts, equipment utilization, and material flow to enhance manufacturing effectiveness.Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams to address operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions.Utilize data analysis tools and industrial engineering methodologies to measure performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Support inventory control and production planning activities through process analysis and optimization efforts.Contribute to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance objectives while supporting manufacturing operations.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience; OR Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering with 0 years of relevant experienceExperience analyzing manufacturing processes and implementing process improvement initiatives.Experience utilizing data analysis techniques to evaluate operational performance and support decision making.Knowledge of production systems, capacity planning, and workflow optimization within a manufacturing environment.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while working independently and collaboratively.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology industries.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.Experience supporting facility layout design, material flow optimization, and equipment utilization studies.Proficiency in manufacturing performance analysis and continuous improvement tools.Experience leading or supporting cross-functional operational improvement projects.Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Minitab , SAP and AutoCADFor Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
