Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., based in Berea, KY, is seeking an Industrial Engineer I-III to design, analyze, and optimize material-flow layouts and packaging solutions at our Berea manufacturing plant.

You will collaborate across production, supply chain, and engineering to drive continuous improvement, lead packaging redesigns, and implement efficient kitting and milk-run processes, with level-specific responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering.
  • Knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes and material‑handling systems.
  • Ability to design, analyze, and optimize material‑flow layouts and logistics methods.
  • Familiarity with lean principles and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex process issues.
  • Experience developing innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Strong project‑management skills and experience leading cross‑functional efforts.
  • Ability to support teams through process changes and new‑system adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of material handling fixturing and packaging solutions.

What you will do:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.

  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering.

  • 2-3 years of experience in material‑flow or internal‑logistics processes preferred.

Level III:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial engineering.

  • 3-5 years of experience with advanced material‑flow strategies such as kitting, supermarket design, or milk‑run systems.

Skills, Experience & Abilities
