Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking an Industrial Engineer I to identify and implement projects that reduce operating costs by improving work methods and manufacturing processes across the Concrete Reinforcing Products unit.

The role involves gathering and analyzing manufacturing data, developing standard work methods, and maintaining costing data for the Sales group and Master Scheduler on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications

  • Gathers and analyzes manufacturing data to evaluate and improve current manufacturing processes.
  • Interprets, develops, plans, assigns, checks and directs work methods; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
  • Ensures standard work procedures, documents and visuals are up to date at each facility.
  • Maintains costing data used by sales group and Master Scheduler on a quarterly basis.
  • Establishes standards for operating methods and performance.

Responsibilities
