Job summary

Raytheon seeks an Industrial Engineer I to support the Diné Facility in Farmington, NM. Onsite role focused on labor performance analyses, value stream mapping, line balancing, capacity planning and continuous improvement across defense manufacturing. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize factory layouts, processes and safety while applying Six Sigma and Lean principles to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.

Qualifications

  • 0+ years experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience in the application of industrial engineering tools and methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process Optimization.
  • Experience in the design of manufacturing systems, including facility layout, cell design, or production flow optimization.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contracts.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Model factory operations with process flows, value streams, Pareto charts, diagrams and CAD drawings to map production.
  • Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
  • Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
  • Influence roadmaps and investments by proposing infrastructure improvements and new product/tech integration.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects that address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and promote growth.
  • Support new production contract/new product proposals and new product integration efforts.
  • Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.

Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more. What You Will Do
  • Model factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key performance indicators
  • Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints
  • Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on‑time delivery goals
  • Influence factory roadmaps and investment strategies by drafting infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals, and planning the integration of new products, technologies, and equipment that create a competitive advantage
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to execute projects that address obsolescence, improve factory performance, and promote growth
  • Support new production contract/new product proposals and new product integration efforts
  • Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics
What You Will Learn

Qualifications
You Must Have

Relocation Eligibility

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. This position is located at the Raytheon Diné Facility in Farmington, NM. RTX- Diné Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices. Salary

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
