Job summary

Nellis Auction is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our Operations team and drive efficiency, safety, and scalability of facilities nationwide. You will partner with Operations leadership, evaluate automation, and help design and launch new facilities as we expand.

If you love hands-on operational challenges and want a seat at the table as we open new locations, this role was built for you. You’ll work to improve warehouses, optimize processes, and support capital planning with ROI analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with automation and industrial equipment (racking, forklifts, conveyors, robotics).
• Experience with operations and distribution planning.
• Proficiency with CAD and MS Office; advanced Excel; MS Access/Visio a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 50% at times.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve operations by assessing processes and systems to identify efficiency gains and cost savings.
• Champion safety and ergonomics with recommended improvements to management.
• Plan and optimize the workforce with staffing models based on labor requirements.
• Turn data into decisions by analyzing production rates, cycle times, and resource utilization.
• Drive cost savings through cost-benefit analyses and ROI-focused strategies.
• Lead cross-functional projects to implement process improvements for new locations.
• Design facility layouts to maximize efficiency in warehousing and fulfillment.
• Support capital planning with budgets and ROI calculations.
• Provide technical support to Maintenance, Operations, and IT teams during downtime or deployments.
• Guide expansion planning with senior leadership on growth impact.
• Vet employee-driven improvement ideas with clear piloting paths.
