Job summary

Ford Energy is seeking a strategic leader to head the BMS organization, driving end‑to‑end hardware/software development for Ford Energy’s BESS products. You will guide architecture, validation, and production launch while coordinating with Ford Energy engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.

You will leverage Ford’s automotive BMS expertise to advance diagnostics, safety, and cost optimization, with a focus on grid‑scale energy storage systems.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience directing multi‑discipline engineering teams.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional programs with suppliers.
• Experience delivering BMS hardware/software through full product development.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, control theory, and electrochemistry.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end BMS hardware/software architecture from concept through design release, validation, launch, and production stabilization.
• Lead BMS hardware design and interface with plant EMS/PCS/SCADA systems.
• Develop and maintain BMS roadmaps and cost models; optimize design for cost and performance.
• Drive cybersecurity, safety processes, and regulatory compliance for BMS systems.
• Lead department headcount planning, budget allocation, and cross‑functional collaboration with Ford teams and suppliers.
