Job summary

Aptar Italia S.P.A. in Mukwonago, WI is seeking a motivated mechanical/industrial engineering student for a full-time co-op term.

You will support the operations team, run time studies, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates are in their sophomore to senior year, able to work independently or on teams, with experience or willingness to learn AutoCAD and Advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a mechanical/industrial engineering or other relevant manufacturing degree.
• Quick learner and able to operate in a fast-paced work environment.
• Self-motivated and confident, with the ability to take initiative.
• Ability to work effectively on teams and independently.
• Experience with or willingness to learn AutoCAD & Advanced Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage many work streams simultaneously.
• Strong experience with computers (especially MS Word, Excel, Project & Power Point)

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the operations team
• Execute time studies to find wastes in our manufacturing processes
• Participate in Aptar’s continuous improvement process by using problem solving techniques
• Perform root cause analysis to aid in solving problems in our operations
• Lead projects to improve manufacturing efficiencies throughout the plant
• Support the operations manager in day-to-day tasks to maximize uptime, quality and safety.
• Develop new cell layouts to aid operators and eliminate waste.
