Job summary

American Airlines seeks an Analyst/Sr Analyst, Industrial Engineer to analyze and optimize warehouse operations across JFK, ORD, or PHL locations. You will apply engineering principles, data analysis, and process improvement to enhance throughput, labor productivity, and space utilization.

This role reports to the Technical Operations Division and requires a bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience; master’s and Lean Six Sigma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, operations research, or related field
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and cost savings in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Analyze warehouse workflows, layouts, and processes to identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop strategies to improve throughput, labor productivity, and space utilization.
• Apply engineering principles, statistics, and calculations to design and analyze systems.
• Conduct time studies, capacity assessments, and labor planning.
• Design scalable staffing models aligned with current needs and service level expectations.
• Use data to develop insights and support engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with Operations and Safety to create ergonomic, safe workstations and processes.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives targeting KPIs like dock-to-stock time and service levels.
• Support integration of warehouse technologies to enhance performance.
• Translate operational data into dashboards and visualizations for strategic decisions.
