Job Description The Role: The Industrial Engineer drives improvements in safety, quality, delivery and cost by identifying and eliminating non-value-added activity across manufacturing operations. This role develops, recommends and implements process improvements that enhance manufacturing efficiency, resource utilization and product quality. The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver who thrives in a competitive, fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize workflows, support production performance and deliver operational excellence.

What you’ll do
  • Optimize workflows, labor utilization and sequence of operations to improve efficiency
  • Ideate, lead and support waste elimination and process improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
  • Perform data analysis to establish shop performance metrics and solve complex operational problems
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, maintenance, production supervisors and shift leaders
  • Support project implementation and plant initiatives including off shift or weekends as needed
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of Industrial Engineering experience
  • Experience working in manufacturing
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and problem solving in production operations
  • Experience documenting and improving standardized work
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, time studies and motion analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to interpersonal styles and work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong continuous improvement focus
  • Ability to work flex schedules as needed to support initiatives on an off shift
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Industrial Engineering experience
  • Experience with project management and cross-functional initiative execution
  • Working knowledge of computer aided drafting (CAD) tools

This role may be eligible for relocation benefits.

On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lansing Delta Assembly on a full-time basis.
