Job summary

Perry Ellis International in Seneca, SC is seeking an Industrial Engineer to analyze production and operations, identify inefficiencies, and drive improvements across manufacturing processes.

You will collect and interpret data on labor, materials, equipment, and workflow; conduct time studies; support layout optimization; and develop SOPs while collaborating with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to elevate performance and reduce costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or process improvement.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, ERP systems, or statistical software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production and operational processes to identify inefficiencies.
  • Collect and interpret data related to labor, materials, equipment, and workflow.
  • Assist in developing methods to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Conduct time studies and work measurement analyses.
  • Support facility layout and workflow optimization projects.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
  • Assist with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, charts, and presentations for management.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective actions.
