Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking an Industrial Engineer to design, optimize, and scale manufacturing and assembly processes for diesel and natural gas generator systems. You will collaborate across engineering and production teams to ensure DFMs/DFAs, lead prototypes, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and throughput.

This role requires a bachelor's in Industrial Engineering and 2+ years in manufacturing, with strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for generator systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and controls engineers for DFMs/DFAs.
  • Lead prototype builds, pilot production, and new product introductions for manufacturing readiness.
  • Support capacity planning, production expansion, and workforce planning.
  • Optimize layouts, workflows, and line balancing to maximize productivity.
  • Identify tooling, fixtures, and automation opportunities to improve performance.
  • Evaluate investments with ROI analyses.
  • Support DOE, SPC, Gage R&R, and process validation initiatives.
  • Define data requirements and integrate with ERP/MRP/MES systems.
