Summary of Role

Design systems and processes to increase the productivity of Semiconductor manufacturing

Essential Responsibilities
  • Design systems and processes to increase the productivity of Semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Develop, design, plan, and implement equipment and machine layouts, workflow production and capacity tools and models and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities.
  • Document and ensure compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines.
  • Develop Throughput Optimization for overall output of equipment.
  • Development of Complex analytic based calculators to identify ideal long term modeling indices.
  • Ability to identify and address incorrect or no longer valid equipment indices to ensure model validity.
  • Evaluate worker productivity and flow and recommends improvements to increase manpower and operating performance, reduce waste and delays and promote cost control/reductions.
  • Being able to identify cost savings opportunities through capital analysis of equipment.
  • Ability to maintain Spec validity and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity output and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks.
  • Establish accident prevention measures and plans and schedules training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operation.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
  • Work and collaborate with other projects and/or assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
  • Experience – 3 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any engineering related job titles.
  • Applicants must have 3 years of experience in the following: (1) Semi-conductor Process including SWD (Shallow Well Diffusion / Shallow Well Drive), the thermal drive-in process used after ion implantation to form shallow wells (doped regions) in the silicon wafer; (2) DIFF to introduce dopants into the silicon wafer and to redistribute previously implanted dopants; (3) IMP (ion Implantation) introducing ions of a desired element into the wafer to change its electrical properties and for precise control of dopant concentration and depth; (4) JMP Data Analytics and Power BI for interactive data visualization, statistical analysis, and modeling; (5) Throughput Optimization, batch factor analysis and Productivity Improvement for Equipment; (6) Cycle Time Analysis to measure, evaluate, and optimize the time it takes for a product, batch, and process step to move from start to finish; (7) Predicting and analyzing process/system behavior over long periods (months, years, lifecycle) using Long Term modeling; (8) Obsolescence Maintenance; and (9) Spec Maintenance to ensure product consistency.
  • Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within the same geographic location as the assigned GlobalFoundries office location.

Salary

Salary range: $101,421-$120,000/year The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.

Work Location / Telecommuting

Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within the same geographic location as the assigned GlobalFoundries office location.
