Description and Responsibilities:

My client is seeking an Industrial Engineer for their 600K sq ft Distribution and Fulfillment center. This facility employs approximately 350 associates and operates three shifts. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, standards setting, and working with robots. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Continuous Improvement: Demonstrating a strong desire to improve current processes.
• Process Improvement: Identifying better practices in slotting, layout, or bottleneck removal.
• Engineered Standards: Testing, monitoring, validating, and implementing standards.
• Project Management: Managing projects such as CapX, MHE, Sortation, and WMS implementations.
• Cultural Leadership: Embodying the company's values and mission.
• Safety Promotion: Fostering a safety-first culture.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Assisting leadership with data collection for better metrics.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have most of the following traits:

• At least 1 year of engineering experience in a distribution or fulfillment center.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Proven track record of continuous and process improvement.
• Experience with engineered labor standards programs.
• Project management experience with implementations, start-ups, and training on material handling equipment.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to other distribution centers across the US.
