Job summary

• Proficient with factory floor simulation tool(s) (FlexSim or similar).
• AutoCAD and basic hands-on SolidWorks experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Visio.
• Lean manufacturing and DFMA methodologies.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Experience leading teams during implementation of operational improvements.
• Ability to operate basic hand and measurement tools.

Job Description

• This will be full time onsite position at client facility in Elkhart, IN.
• Performance of data collection of current state production to deepen understanding of current production and development of baselines for future improvements.
• Ideation of process development improvements to be made that have been identified by the team.
• Design and simulation of cellular and system layouts, process flows, time studies, and line balancing activities of current and future state of operations.
• Completion of work instructions for each solution created.
• Supporting the protype build from conception through implementation.
• Ability to read, create, and follow basic mechanical engineering drawings to support prototyping efforts.
• Ability to create 2D operational layouts for cellular and system improvements.
• Identify equipment and other asset requirements necessary to facilitate process improvements and work directly with suppliers on equipment specifications and quoting.
• Works closely with internal cross-functional teams, contractors, suppliers, and outside vendors to achieve desired results.
• Work as part of a functional team under the direction of the assigned manager in the timely execution of projects. Includes providing status updates for assigned tasks and activities.
• Develop and refine skills related to operational improvements to support both project execution and training of operational staff.
• Travel will be necessary.
