Job summary

ExpressPoint is seeking an Industrial Engineer at our East El Paso facility. The role designs, implements, monitors, and improves operational processes to boost efficiency, quality, safety and cost-effectiveness.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and ensure regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership position with accountability for KPI development and continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• Education in engineering with focus on industrial/manufacturing fields.
• Experience with process engineering or manufacturing environments is expected.
• Familiarity with automation and ERP/MES systems preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality and cost.
• Design, develop, and implement processes and production methods.
• Monitor process performance using data, KPIs, and statistical tools.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
• Support validation, equipment qualification, and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Support Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen initiatives and train staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost
• Design, develop, and implement new or improved processes and production methods
• Monitor process performance using data analysis, KPIs, and statistical tools
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
• Support process validation, equipment qualification, and commissioning activities
• Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
• Train operators and staff on new or updated processes
• Ensure timely, tactful, and respectful communication with all internal and external customers.
• Enforces all policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering(Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electro-Mechanical, or related field)
• Experience: 5+ years related experience in process engineering or manufacturing/operations environments. Electronics industry experience preferred (electromechanical product, POS systems, computer systems).
• Experience with automation, process control systems, or ERP/MES systems preferred
• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, SPC). Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, process flow diagrams, and data reports
• Proficiency in standard engineering and data analysis tools
• Project management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working in production, logistics, and office environment. Requires time on the production/logistics floor
• Able to work and travel in Jurez/El Paso. Occasional travel and extended hours during project implementations
