Job description

Industrial Engineer positions are essential to optimizing manufacturing operations and ensuring efficient facility layouts and process flows. This full-time opportunity offers an engaging environment for professionals who thrive in transforming large-scale manufacturing spaces into lean, high-throughput production lines. As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in designing, optimizing, and implementing workflow solutions for complex integrated electrical assemblies and structural enclosures. The role is ideal for those with a passion for process improvement, facility layout optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

In this Industrial Engineer role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing the layout of expansive manufacturing facilities to support the assembly of highly technical electrical and mechanical systems. Your efforts will focus on creating efficient production lines for medium-voltage Ring Main Units (RMUs), transformers, low-voltage distribution gear, and auxiliary power control equipment. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with robust analytical skills and a commitment to continuous improvement through lean manufacturing principles.

Key aspects of the Industrial Engineer position include designing and executing facility layouts, mapping value streams, implementing ergonomic material flows, and specifying tooling for assembly processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Sourcing, and Electrical Design Engineering, to ensure the manufacturability and safety of all production operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and efficiency of a major manufacturing footprint, while working alongside industry experts and leveraging cutting-edge technology.

Industrial Engineers are integral to the development of standard operating procedures and the refinement of production workflows. You will be expected to engage in problem-solving initiatives, apply root cause analysis, and participate in continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen events and 8D processes. Your experience with CAD and spatial modeling software will be critical in optimizing floor space and production line configuration, ensuring seamless material handling and workstation ergonomics for large, heavy components.

The Industrial Engineer position is suited for candidates with a background in industrial or manufacturing engineering, supported by hands-on experience using CAD tools and a deep understanding of lean manufacturing concepts. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for professional growth, and exposure to large-scale manufacturing projects. By joining the team as an Industrial Engineer, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on production efficiency and operational excellence.
