The Industrial Engineer plays a critical role in optimizing manufacturing operations by designing efficient plant layouts, improving process flows, and establishing accurate labor and capacity requirements. This position partners closely with Operations, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to drive safety, productivity, quality, and delivery performance while supporting new product launches and operational excellence initiatives. Through data-driven analysis and process optimization, the Industrial Engineer helps ensure the facility operates at peak efficiency and is positioned to meet customer and business objectives.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; 5+ years preferred.
Demonstrated experience conducting time studies, labor planning, cycle time analysis, and capacity planning.
Knowledge of plant layout design, process optimization, line balancing, and workflow improvement methodologies.
Experience performing ergonomic assessments and applying workplace safety principles in manufacturing environments.
Strong analytic, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies preferred.
Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, including standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and occasionally assisting with moving materials weighing 50 pounds or more; ability to travel 10%+ as needed.
