Job summary

Total Safety U.S., Inc. is seeking an Emergency Response Technician in Midland, TX. The role focuses on rapid emergency response to fires, chemical releases, and other hazards, ensuring safety of personnel and assets.

You will operate firefighting equipment, support incident command, and perform technical rescue duties in a heavy-industrial setting. The position requires NFPA firefighter certifications, HAZMAT operations, and technical rescue credentials, with offshore or petrochemical exposure

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary fire science preferred.
  • Certified Firefighter I & II (NFPA 1001 or equivalent).
  • Hazardous Materials Operations (NFPA 472/1072) and technical rescue certs.
  • Driver's license with EVOC or industrial vehicle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to industrial fires, explosions, chemical releases, and hazardous material incidents.
  • Operate firefighting apparatus, pumps, fixed suppression, and portable equipment.
  • Conduct fire prevention inspections and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Assist with incident command operations and hazard assessment during emergencies.
  • Perform confined space, rope/high-angle, trench, and machinery rescues.
